At Bakewell Haulage we’re a family of 36 drivers and office personnel who love what we do. Our drivers have immense pride in their vehicles, resulting in an immaculate fleet of trucks that are admired across the Mid North Coast. Our company is founded on the values of honesty, integrity and employee satisfaction. Once we employ someone, they rarely leave! Kevin Bakewell grew up in Wingham, purchasing his first truck at 22 in 1983. Kevin worked as an owner driver until he sustained an injury – falling out of the back of a trailer and smashing his knee. This unfortunate accident turned out to be a blessing in disguise, forcing Kevin and his wife, Wendy, to reimagine their future. The couple knew they had to “get bigger or get out”. They decided to expand their fleet and employ other drivers, and Bakewell Haulage was born. Today, Bakewell Haulage is the second largest business in Wingham and one of the Mid North Coast’s most trusted haulage companies, with a total staff of 36, a fleet of 17 prime movers, 9 rigid trucks and 28 trailers.
